Our 2026 Reading In The Schools Day will be held on Friday, September 11th. Here, we partner with Murfreesboro City and Rutherford County elementary schools to host a one-day reading event that brings volunteers into classrooms to spread the joy of literacy. It's a special day that celebrates reading—at school, at home, and just for fun! Volunteers include parents, teachers, student athletes, elected officials, retirees, and other leaders. All are valuable role models who make a difference through creative storytelling and active engagement with students. The investment we make is vital to seeing our children succeed. This success is achieved through our partnership with schools, the hard work of school teachers, coordinators and staff, and those in our caring community who are willing to share their time with students.
