Literacy Day is an annual event held the first Saturday of August. This event kicks off the school year and helps raise awareness of the importance of literacy which effects the community on several levels. The event begins at Central Magnet School with participant registration, a guest speaker, followed by a march to Civic Plaza. At Civic Plaza, community agencies are on hand to discuss available services along with water, food, games, door prizes and FREE books!
Read To Succeed would like to thank this year’s sponsors: Olive Branch Church, Murfreesboro Medical Clinic, Linebaugh Library and Friends of Linebaugh Library.
