L.E.A.R.N. was co-founded by Dave Davis, Tricia Lacy and Sonya Craig, all parents of children with special needs. The three came together when they realized there weren't many programs in the community that were organized specifically for their children to participate in. With few opportunities for growth for their children, they decided to create a network of parents who could join together and provide the opportunities themselves.

In just one year this group has grown to over 35 families. They have developed partnerships with Special Olympics, Parks & Recreation, MTSU, and First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro. The success of the organization depends largely on the volunteer work and efforts provided by the families themselves.
