Shelia Bratton of the Rutherford County Board of Education did a fabulous job entertaining the audience as Mistress of Ceremonies. Mary Scales honored the passing this year of educators Lord and Roberts. Chris Young sang to, and charmed, the crowd. Many, many good laughs were enjoyed as our Celebrity Spellers good naturedly took turns at the microphone to spell for literacy. Catherine Stephens, Scales Elementary Principal, was the champion of this year's Celebrity Spelling Bee.
