Amy Maynard
Amy was raised in East Tennessee and graduated from TennesseeTech University, where she earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and (more importantly) met her husband of 21 years, Allan. She put her degree to use working as an Operational Engineer in Detroit Michigan, before moving to Murfreesboro in 1996. Amy is currently a stay-at-home mom to daughter Livi, a freshman at Oakland High School. Her life as a stay-at-home mom has allowed her the opportunity to be very involved in Livi’s school activities, as a classroom helper, PTO treasurer and event chair at McFadden, and currently as a band booster parent at Oakland. Amy also enjoys her time as an administrative volunteer at RTS, working closely with the staff and learning a great deal about the world of non-profits. She is currently assisting with the planning of this year’s Celebrity Bee, which promises to be great fun for all! As a member of First Presbyterian Church, she enjoys attending various classes, Bible study, and Presbyterian Women fellowship, and serves as a member of the Care Ministry Team. When not spending time with my family, including a cat who loves to fetch and a 124 lb golden retriever who loves treats, Amy has a great time trading opinions with her book club of 10+ years.
