Read To Succeed has moved to a new location. We are now located inside the Murfreesboro Housing Authority building at 415 N. Maple Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Our phone number is still 615-738-7323. Please feel free to contact us with any questions!
Read To Succeed encourages all Rutherford County residents to take a moment and unplug. Unplug the TV, the phone, video games and iPods. And, instead, sit back and read.
February is Unplug & READ month. Read To Succeed started the event as a simple way to promote its mission, which is to raise literacy awareness throughout the community.
To celebrate the event (and literacy), you can unplug for several hours. But all it takes is a commitment to unplug for five, ten, or fifteen minutes at some point throughout the month to bring the event to life.
FLIGHT OF DREAMS is a fiercely intimate portrait of the real people on board the last flight of the Hindenburg. Behind them is the gathering storm in Europe and before them is looming disaster. But for the moment they float over the Atlantic, unaware of the inexorable, tragic fate that awaits them.
Brilliantly exploring one of the most enduring mysteries of the twentieth century, FLIGHT OF DREAMS is that rare novel with spellbinding plotting that keeps you guessing till the last page and breathtaking emotional intensity that stays with you long after.

December 2016 -Christa Roth
Christa Roth is a native of Louisville. She moved to Murfreesboro with her husband and two children about 2 years ago. Christa has an undergraduate degree from Spalding University in Education and a Master of Education from University of Louisville. She taught in the Louisville area for about 10 years. Christa says that while she misses her friends and family from her hometown, she is truly beginning to feel like life in the ‘Boro is where she is meant to be.
Christa feels that volunteering with Read To Succeed has been a very rewarding experience. She is looking forward to continuing to assist the program in any way she can in the future. Christa has been a true blessing to Read To Succeed over the last few months. She helped tremendously with the Silent Auction at our annual Celebrity Spelling Bee. She has helped with our bulk mailings and she has helped with many office tasks. We love having Christa around and we are grateful for all she does! She is a Shining Star!
